EAP Malaysia is the leader of the provision of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) treatment in Malaysia and was established by Wisconsin Early Autism Job (WEAP) in September 2006. For all therapists, a first training including 20 hours of classes and 3 weeks on hand-held training is required prior to beginning collaborate with a child with autism after which normal fortnightly otherwise weekly supervision is supplied through routine overlaps and team meetings.
Additionally, WEAP's released research study in the American Journal of Mental Retardation (November 2005 issue) was consistent with Dr. Ivar Lovaas' research in 1987 and 1993 wherein 48% of the youngsters that participated in the extensive behavioral therapy were able to catch up and get involved efficiently in typical school.
Each child at EAP is assigned a group of specialists who are supervised by a Supervisor on a fortnightly basis and a Senior Supervisor on a bimonthly basis along with the WEAP Development Reviews twice a year. EAP remains to keep first-rate quality ABA therapy as we remain to have our parent company WEAP oversee our children two times a year.
