The four of them then took a taxi back to the house of one accomplice, where they took turns raping her.

The attack, described by the judge overseeing the case as 'extremely grave', was treated as an aggravated assault as multiple people attacked the woman.

On top of their prison sentences, Moon and the other rapists are also being made to complete a 40-hour sexual violence treatment programme.

They have also been banned from child and youth-related institutions for five years.

Moon was kicked out of NCT in August, after the allegations emerged, though exacts details were not known at the time

Following the sentencing, they were immediately detained.

Moon was kicked out of NCT in August, after the allegations emerged, though exacts details were not known at the time.

The group is reportedly known for its experimental music that crosses genres, and has made it to the charts of countries across the world, including the US.

The sentencing comes months after a Japanese woman 'in her 50s' who allegedly kissed a K-pop star without his consent was summoned by South Korean authorities.

Seoul's Songpa police station confirmed that they requested a fan who attended the meet and greet event for popstar Jin - a member of supergroup BTS - last year to appear for questioning over an allegation of sexual harassment.

The force refused to disclose her identity, citing privacy. It launched an investigation after receiving an online complaint and refused to provide further details because an investigation was underway.

While the woman's name cannot be confirmed, social media has circulated footage and photos from the event, including one moment where the star, 32, appears to wince as a fan hugging him on stage seems to dart in for a kiss on his face.

Later, she reportedly wrote in an online blog post that 'her lips touched his neck'.

'His skin was so soft,' she had also boasted, according to Yonhap news agency.

Media reports said that South Korean police were able to confirm the identity of the woman with the help of Japanese police. The woman was said to be refusing to appear for questioning.
